Two-Day Orientation Program ‘Deeksharambh’ Welcomes New PGDM Students with Inspiring Sessions and Campus Tour

PML SD Business School, Sector 32, Chandigarh, kick-started its two-day induction-cum-orientation program ‘Deeksharambh’ to welcome the new PGDM (2025–27) batch. The initiative is designed to acclimate students to the institution’s ethos, academic rigor, and collaborative learning environment through engaging sessions and interactive activities.
The program began with a warm welcome and a guided campus tour, introducing students to the library, smart classrooms, recreation zones, and student support services.
The Chief Guest on Day 1 was Chandigarh Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla, who addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of staying relevant in today’s dynamic world.
Dr. S.C. Vaidya, General Secretary of GGDSD College Society, Chandigarh, delivered a keynote on the origins of PML SD Business School, explaining how it operates in line with the guiding principles of the Society’s former President, the late Upkar Krishan Sharma.
Dr. S.K. Sharma, also from the Society, emphasized the need for adaptability and continuous evolution in today’s fast-changing educational and business environment.
On this occasion, other dignitaries including Finance Secretary Jatinder Bhatia, General Secretary Dr. Anirudh Joshi, and Dr. P.K. Bajaj extended their congratulations and best wishes to the new batch on embarking on their management education journey.
Dr. Kapil Pandla, Director of PML SD Business School, termed the induction program a milestone in the academic journey, symbolizing a new beginning full of aspirations and learning. He underlined the institution’s mission to nurture talent and groom future leaders, further highlighting a 100% stipend-based summer internship achievement by the senior PGDM batch as a recent success.
Dr. Pandla concluded by stating that the orientation program sets the stage for a successful academic and professional journey ahead, laying a strong foundation for leadership and innovation.
