With new partnerships in Chandigarh and Amritsar, IHG aims to meet growing demand in emerging markets of North India

IHG Hotels & Resorts, one of the world’s leading hotel companies, is rapidly strengthening its presence in Punjab as part of its strategic expansion across emerging secondary markets in India. With recent partnerships and property launches in key cities like Chandigarh and Amritsar, IHG is well-positioned to meet the growing demand for premium accommodations and world-class hospitality in the region.
Currently, IHG operates two successful hotels in Punjab — Holiday Inn Chandigarh Zirakpur and Holiday Inn Amritsar Ranjit Avenue — both of which have shown consistent performance and strong guest satisfaction. Building on this success, IHG has announced several new partnerships, including the upcoming voco Panchkula, slated to open in October 2025, reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to the region.
In the Chandigarh Tricity area, IHG has signed agreements for Crowne Plaza Chandigarh Zirakpur and Holiday Inn & Suites Chandigarh Zirakpur, which together will add around 350 rooms to its portfolio. These properties, expected to launch by 2027, will feature elegant design, modern amenities, strategic locations, and exceptional service.
