150 units of blood collected for Thalassemia patients as ‘Dietking’ Amarinder Singh launches Ayurvedic hair care book.
MOHALI – A unique blend of spirituality, social service, and health awareness was witnessed at the Phase-7 Market in Mohali during an integrated community event organized by social activist Amarinder Singh. The Amarinder Singh Mohali Event successfully collected 150 units of blood for Thalassemia patients and marked the official release of a new book on Ayurvedic wellness.

The program commenced with a soul-stirring Gurbani Kirtan performed by Bhai Lakhwinder Singh (Chandigarh Wale), creating a meditative atmosphere for the large gathering of the Sangat. Following the spiritual session, an “Atut Langar” (community kitchen) was served to all attendees.
150 Units Collected for Thalassemia Support
The blood donation camp, a central pillar of the initiative, saw a massive turnout of voluntary donors. A specialist medical team from Sohana Hospital managed the collection process, ensuring 150 units of blood were gathered to support those suffering from Thalassemia.
During the ceremony, the organizers honored Randeep Batta, known for his “Kashmir to Kanyakumari” blood donation awareness campaign and recognized as one of the country’s top donors. Rakesh Sangar of the Shri Shiv Kanwar Mahasangh Charitable Trust, Panchkula, was also felicitated for his contributions to social causes.
“The Hair Vigyan” Book Launch
A significant highlight of the day was the official unveiling of the book titled “The Hair Vigyan: Back to Black – The Ayurvedic Path to Hair Rejuvenation,” authored by Amarinder Singh, who is widely known in the region as ‘Dietking.’
The book focuses on providing Ayurvedic solutions for common hair issues such as hair loss and premature graying. While addressing the gathering, Amarinder Singh explained the philosophy behind the day’s activities.
“The objective of this event is to connect spirituality, health, and social service. Activities like blood donation are the true service of humanity, and spreading health awareness is the need of the hour. We intend to continue such service-based programs in the future,” said Amarinder Singh.

The event was graced by former Punjab Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu as the Chief Guest, while Mohali Municipal Corporation Mayor Amarjit Singh Jeeti attended as the Special Guest. The dignitaries interacted with blood donors and commended the organizer for balancing spiritual tradition with modern healthcare needs.
