BJP Chandigarh Yuva Morcha condemned the Youth Congress protest during the AI Summit in Chandigarh, calling it disruptive and inappropriate.

Chandigarh: BJP Chandigarh Yuva Morcha condemned a protest staged by Youth Congress members during the AI Summit held in Chandigarh and burned effigies of Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party outside Congress Bhawan in Sector 35 on the same day.

According to a press note issued by the BJP Chandigarh Yuva Morcha, the organization alleged that under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, Congress workers created disruption at the summit venue through what it described as an inappropriate protest. The Morcha claimed that the protest was aimed at embarrassing the country on an international platform.

The BJP Chandigarh Yuva Morcha stated that at a time when India is working to position itself as a global technology hub, such incidents could affect the country’s image. The organization said political opposition is a democratic right, but maintained that actions which may impact India’s global standing are not appropriate.

The Morcha further alleged that the protest was deliberately planned. It described the incident as a calculated move intended to tarnish the nation’s reputation. The organization also claimed that creating disruptions at significant events has become a pattern of behavior by Congress leaders.

Party members gathered outside Congress Bhawan in Sector 35, where they burned effigies as a mark of protest.

Among those present were In-Charge Ramesh Sahod, youth leader Amandeep Singh, General Secretary Priya Paswan, Vice President Abhay Jha, Vinayak Bhangia, Rahul Chaudhary, Sukhraj Gill, Siddhant Modgil, Ankur Rana, Rajesh Paswan, and other members.
