Chandigarh: Haryana Health and Family Welfare Minister Aarti Singh Rao held a review meeting with Director General of Health Services (DGHS) and Jhanjjar, Gurugram and Sonipat at his Chandigarh residence today.
The meeting focused on the availability of resources in three districts with detailed evaluation of the implementation of health services and schemes. The minister discussed the current challenges being faced on the land and reviewed the ongoing efforts to improve healthcare distribution.
Aarti Singh Rao emphasized the importance of sensitivity and accountability in service distribution. He instructed all officers to ensure that health services are accessible, responsible and patient-centered, especially for deprived and distant population.
The minister said, “The quality of health services reflects our commitment to the good of every citizen. We should ensure that each facility works efficiently and each plan reaches its intended beneficiary,” the minister said.
The minister assured officials of full support from the state government in terms of budgetary provisions, public power requirements and upgradation of infrastructure. He said that the state government was fully committed to creating a strong, more inclusive and flexible public health system in Haryana.
DGHS Dr. Manish Bansal, DGHS (P) Dr. Kuldeep Singh and other senior officials were present in the meeting.
