Nia Panchkula organizes a successful Walkathon as part of the International Yoga Day celebrations

Panchkula: On the occasion of International Yoga Day 2025, the National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA), Panchkula today organized a Walkathon at Yavanika Park, Sector -5, Panchkula. The event was organized under the guidance of Honorable Vice Chancellor, Professor Sanjeev Sharma.

Walkathon took place from 6:00 am to 8:00 am and witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents, students, officers and staff members. The program was told by the chief guest, SDM Mr. Chandrakant Kataria.

Dean-charge of the institute, Professor Satish Gandharve, Dr. Gaurav Garg (DMS Coordinator), officials and staff members actively participated in the event.

Assistant Professor Dr. Ritesh efficiently took over the stage proceedings and the program was led by the Walkathon Committee. At his address, the chief guest and the Vice Chancellor emphasized the importance of including yoga in daily life. He said that regular yoga practice leads to a stress-free life and is essential for both mental and physical welfare.

Around 350 participants of the institute participated in Walkathon. Refreshments were provided by JRK Pharmaceuticals and distributed by CAPS Kotkal Pharmaceuticals.

The purpose of this incident was to raise awareness about yoga and Ayurveda in the society and encourage citizens to adopt a healthy and balanced lifestyle. The event was successfully conducted by the Walkathon Committee.
