Windows 11 Update Brings AI-Powered Setting Adjustments and Recall Snapshot Sharing in Europe
June 18, 2025 – Microsoft has rolled out a new Windows 11 Insider Preview Build for Dev Channel users, introducing cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities. The highlight of the update is the debut of AI agents that can automatically discover and adjust system settings based on user input, bringing a smarter and more intuitive user experience.
🔧 AI Agents Now in Windows 11
This new AI-driven feature is currently available only to participants in the Windows Insider Program (Dev Channel) who are using Snapdragon-powered Copilot+ PCs. Microsoft has confirmed that support for AI PCs powered by AMD and Intel chipsets will be added soon.
With AI agents, users can simply type commands like “my mouse pointer is too small”, and the AI will recommend solutions or even autonomously apply the fix, significantly reducing the number of steps needed to modify settings. This feature currently supports only English as the primary performance language on the device.
🌍 Recall Sharing Feature for EEA Users
Another notable addition is the Recall Sharing Experience, available exclusively to users in the European Economic Area (EEA). This feature allows users to export and share Recall snapshots—screen captures stored by Windows Recall—with third-party apps and websites.
To ensure data privacy, users must authenticate using Windows Hello and provide a one-time export code (shown only during the initial setup) to decrypt and share encrypted snapshots. Microsoft emphasizes that it does not store or have access to this export code, and once lost, it cannot be recovered.

🔒 Export Options & Data Control
Users can manage and export Recall data by going to:
Settings → Privacy & Security → Recall & Snapshots → Advanced Settings
Two options are available:
Export Past Snapshots: Share snapshot history from the last 7 days, 30 days, or all time.
Export Snapshots Continuously: Enable real-time sharing with the ability to stop anytime.
If users believe their export code has been compromised or want to reset Recall, they can do so easily. This action will erase all snapshots and restore default settings, allowing a fresh start with a new export code.
