“Delhi will continue to get support from Haryana”: CM Rekha Gupta

Karanal: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday expressed confidence that the Haryana government will increase its full cooperation in the development of the national capital.

Speaking to the media in Karanal, Haryana, CM Gupta said, “I believe that Delhi will get full support from the state of Haryana … Some forces are acting like an eclipse on the state of Punjab, which is why Punjab is neither able to develop proper coordination with other states.”

According to an official statement, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta presided over a high-level meeting on Saturday to strengthen the city’s real estate system and make it more transparent, skilled and development-focused.

During the meeting, the “Government-Industries Task Force” was formally presented to the government on the “Real Estate Report”. The report was jointly prepared by major stakeholders, including the Indian Industry (CII), Delhi Development Authority (DDA), Delhi Corporation of Delhi (MCD), Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC), Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), and Real Estate Consultancy.

The report suggested the outline of 10 major challenges faced by Delhi’s real estate sector, such as unauthorized colonies, housing society, redevelopment of colonies, and modernization of infrastructure in industrial areas and practical, implementable solutions for each.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta confirmed his government’s commitment to rebuild the region. He said that the government is committed to leading Delhi to a structured, transparent and civil-friendly real estate model.

Cabinet Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa and MCD, DDA, DMRC, Co-operative Society (RCS) registrar and CII attended the meeting. Officials said the report would serve as a blueprint for policy reforms and structural changes in the capital’s real estate ecosystem.

Meanwhile, according to an official statement, the Delhi government will soon unveil a new excise policy with the aim of making social welfare prioritizing and protecting liquor distribution transparent, accountable and modern.

According to the statement, the Delhi government is soon ready to formulate a new excise policy. The primary objective of this policy is to ensure the availability of quality liquor to the citizens of capital and make the sales and distribution system transparent, modern and accountable.

CM Rekha Gupta clearly stated that social security will be the top priority in the new excise policy. The government will ensure that the policy does not adversely affect the sensitive classes of the society, as stated in the statement.

Furthermore, according to this statement, the Delhi government is committed to ensuring that no aspect of policy negatively affects the sensitive classes of the society and that the safety, health and peace of weak communities are not compromised in any way.

A high-level committee headed by the Chief Secretary of the Delhi government is currently working on preparing this policy. The release said that the committee is also reviewing the excise policies of several other states, which prefer effective liquor distribution and social security.
