PHDCCI SHE Forum Marks International Yoga Day 2025 with Inspiring Wellness Session in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, June 21:
The PHDCCI SHE Forum, Chandigarh, in association with the Food Corporation of India (FCI), marked the 11th International Day of Yoga with a rejuvenating and empowering yoga session on June 21, 2025, at PHD House, Chandigarh.

Delivering the welcome address, Adv. Pooja Nayar, Chair – PHDCCI SHE Forum, Chandigarh, highlighted this year’s global theme: “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.” She emphasized that the SHE Forum remains committed to promoting holistic well-being, especially for women, families, and the broader community.

“As we mark this global occasion, we should aim to embrace wellness not just as a one-day activity, but as a lifestyle,” she said. She encouraged participants to reflect, stretch, and reconnect with their inner calm amid their busy lives.

The session featured an insightful address by Dr. Vibha Bawa, BAMS, Clinical Dietitian & Oncology Nutritionist, and Convener of the Steering Committee on Ayurveda, Siddha & Unani under PHDCCI’s Health & Wellness Committee. She emphasized that fitness and nutrition are inseparable pillars of health.

“Whether it’s mindful movement through yoga, a balanced diet, or hydration—each effort contributes to a disease-free, energetic life,” she explained, urging attendees to see wellness as a lifelong commitment rather than a short-term goal.

The Yoga session was conducted by certified instructors Mr. Janak Magotra, Mr. Bhupinder Verma, and Ms. Sashi Bansal, who demonstrated key yoga asanas while explaining their physical, mental, and spiritual benefits. Participants were guided through poses that promote flexibility, inner peace, and physical endurance.

Ms. Rimneet Kaur, Resident Director, and Ms. Usha Verma, Senior Assistant Secretary from PHDCCI Secretariat, actively participated in the event. The celebration witnessed enthusiastic participation from government officials, industry leaders, and yoga enthusiasts across diverse sectors.

Dr. Vibha Bawa concluded the event with a Vote of Thanks, expressing heartfelt appreciation to all attendees for prioritizing wellness and joining the meaningful celebration. She commended their dedication to sustainable, holistic health.
