SBI Organises Blood Donation Camp in Chandigarh, 74 Units Collected

Held at IMA Sector 35B, the camp marked SBI’s 70th Foundation Day; Chief Guest Hargunjit Kaur applauds the initiative.

As part of its 70th Foundation Day celebrations, the State Bank of India (SBI) organized a Blood Donation Camp at the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Sector 35B, Chandigarh, under the leadership of its Regional Business Office (RBO), Chandigarh.

The initiative is part of a nationwide drive where SBI aims to collect 70,000 units of blood across India. At the Chandigarh camp, 74 units were successfully donated, with enthusiastic participation from the public and bank staff alike.

The camp was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Ms. Hargunjit Kaur, IAS, Managing Director of Punjab Agro Industries Corporation. She commended the noble efforts of the donors and especially praised Ms. Subhashini Rai, Regional Manager, RBO Chandigarh, for organizing the event with dedication.

One of the highlights of the event was SBI staff member Shri Naveen Saini, who donated blood for the 85th time, serving as a source of inspiration for the younger donors.

“This is a noble cause, and I encourage everyone to come forward and donate. Blood donation is the gift of life,” said Ms. Kaur.

All donors were honored with a donor badge and a memento as a token of appreciation for their contribution to society.
