The Foundation, under the leadership of Amitabh Roongta, emphasizes Ayurvedic dietary adjustments for the rainy season while distributing nutritious meals to the needy.
Panchkula, June 30: The Shri Shyam Karuna Foundation celebrated the arrival of the monsoon season by organizing its 171st “Ann Bhandara” (community food drive), providing nutritious meals to the underprivileged. The event was held under the guidance of social worker and Foundation President Amitabh Roongta, who shared insights on health and diet practices rooted in Indian tradition.

Speaking at the event, Roongta highlighted the importance of Ayurvedic dietary adjustments during the monsoon season. He explained that as per Ayurveda, monsoon demands changes in our daily food and drink intake to maintain physical and mental well-being. He encouraged individuals to adopt seasonal eating habits as part of their long-term lifestyle.
“According to Indian culture, monsoon is a time to introduce positive dietary changes. This is not just a seasonal adaptation, but a commitment to lifelong health,” said Roongta. He further emphasized the need for drinking sufficient water and consuming only as much food as necessary, to maintain a balanced mind and body.
