Spiritual leader Dati Ji Maharaj’s life is celebrated for 30 years of service to humanity, cow protection, and empowering the girl child.

Chandigarh, July 10, 2025: Across the nation, July 10 is being observed with deep devotion and reverence as Kanya Sanrakshan Diwas (Girl Child Protection Day) to mark the birth anniversary of Swami Nijswaroopanand Puri Maharaj, affectionately known to millions as Dati Ji Maharaj.
India, a land blessed with saints, sages, and spiritual leaders, continues to move towards becoming a global spiritual and cultural leader due to the teachings and sacrifices of such great personalities. Among them, Dati Ji Maharaj has dedicated his entire life to human welfare, protection of cows, and empowering girls by supporting their education, marriage, and employment.
This year, major celebrations are being held at Shree Shanidham Delhi and Shree Shanidham Pali, Rajasthan, where thousands of devotees are gathered. The Shree Siddh Shaktipeeth Shanidham, located in Asola-Fatehpur Beri near Mehrauli, is home to the world’s tallest Shani Dev statue made of eight metals (Ashtadhatu).
Dati Ji Maharaj is among the select few saints who received an official invitation from the Government of India to attend the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Lord Ram in Ayodhya. A staunch advocate of cow protection, he runs several gaushalas (cow shelters) across Delhi and Rajasthan. The proceeds from his spiritual activities are used entirely for supporting girl children and ensuring food and care for cows.
For over 30 years, Dati Ji Maharaj has led a national movement to protect girl children and prevent female foeticide. His efforts have inspired governments in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh to launch initiatives like the Dati Sumangala Yojana, while former Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar and even Prime Minister Narendra Modi have acknowledged and appreciated his “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” mission.

Dati Ji Maharaj’s teachings, shared daily on his YouTube channel “Shri Guru Mantra with Dati Ji Maharaj,” reach millions. One of his most popular teachings is that while his spiritual guidance is freely available, people are free to choose their path—but the true path to success lies in truth, non-violence, and selfless service.
According to Ashok Kumar (Media Advisor) and Arjun Kumar (devotee), Dati Ji Maharaj’s birthday has been celebrated as Girl Child Protection Day for the past 29 years and will continue to be so. His mission centers on compassion for all living beings, the protection of Dharma, and altruism. Through his relentless work, especially for girl children and cows, he has elevated the message of “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” to new heights.
