Donates 7,000 Sq. Ft. Facility on Son’s Birthday; Honored with Global Inspiration Award in London

Sonipat, Haryana: Shashikant Kaushik, founder of the Shashikant International Charitable Trust, has once again exemplified the true spirit of selfless service by dedicating a 7,000 sq. ft. building to social welfare on the occasion of his son’s birthday. The facility, named Drishti Eye Institute, will offer completely free eye care and physiotherapy services to those in need. Additionally, a free library for children has been established in the same building — a commendable step toward promoting education. A second library by him is already operating successfully in Samalkha.
Shashikant Kaushik is widely respected across all sections of society for his unwavering commitment to public welfare. His services have made him a revered figure and a true people’s leader in Haryana. Speaking at the inauguration, he said,
“Serving society is the purpose of my life. If even a small act of mine helps someone in need, that is the greatest honor for me. I urge every citizen to contribute to society in whatever way they can.”

Remarkably, Kaushik revealed that his trust operates without a bank account, as he accepts no external financial support. Instead, he dedicates 90% of his own income to public welfare activities, of which 40% has already been utilized. He further shared that both his sons donated ₹25 lakh each, inherited from their grandfather, for charitable purposes. They have been given only 10% of his total assets, with the majority being reserved for social good.
Recognizing his noble contributions, Shashikant Kaushik was recently honored with the ‘Global Inspiration Award’ in London, bringing pride to Haryana and India.
