Hospital launches Robotic Arthroplasty Centre of Excellence under Dr. Bhanu Pratap Singh

Park Hospital Mohali has successfully completed over 1000 robotic joint resurfacing surgeries, marking a major milestone in advanced orthopedic care. The announcement was made during a press conference on Friday.
Addressing the media, Dr. Bhanu Pratap Singh, Director – Orthopedics & Robotic Joint Replacement Surgery, said that under the initiative “Park Mahotsav”, the hospital will offer free robotic technology-assisted treatment until September 30 to make advanced healthcare accessible to all.
On this occasion, Park Hospital also announced the launch of its state-of-the-art Robotic Arthroplasty Centre of Excellence, aimed at redefining orthopedic care in the region. The centre will be led by Dr. Bhanu Pratap Singh Saluja, who brings over 20 years of experience and has performed more than 25,000 successful joint replacement surgeries.
Dr. Singh highlighted that Park Hospital Mohali is the only hospital in the region equipped with Robo Suit, Robo Eye, and Robo Hand, delivering unmatched precision, efficiency, and better patient outcomes.
Dr. Anil Kapoor Vashisth, Consultant Orthopedics, explained that robotic knee replacement surgeries, powered by 3D augmented reality and artificial intelligence, now take only 12–15 minutes and require no blood transfusion, stitches, or drains.
Dr. Aman Garg, Consultant Orthopedics, added that the minimally invasive technique uses just a 3.5–4 inch incision. Patients can walk within 4 hours of surgery, climb stairs the next day, and achieve full recovery in 7–10 days.
