Chandigarh Division marks the occasion with a special ceremony, reinforcing commitment to customer trust and public service.
Chandigarh: The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) celebrated its 69th Foundation Day with great enthusiasm across the country. To mark the occasion, a special ceremony was organized at the Chandigarh Divisional Office.

The event began with the hoisting of LIC’s corporate flag by Senior Divisional Manager Sonam Chhewang, who urged all officials and employees to continue working with dedication towards the corporation’s policies and objectives.
Addressing the gathering, Chhewang highlighted LIC’s journey of nearly seven decades, emphasizing the trust it has earned from millions of policyholders. “Since its inception, LIC has achieved several historic milestones in the insurance sector while upholding customer confidence. Moving forward, the corporation is committed to strengthening its services and ensuring they remain beneficial for the public,” he said.
Founded in 1956, LIC has grown to become India’s largest life insurance provider, playing a vital role in expanding financial security and insurance awareness across the nation.
