Over 500 educators, leaders, and innovators gathered at JW Marriott Chandigarh to explore the balance between AI and human-centric learning.
Chandigarh: The much-awaited EDUTHON 5.0: AI Meets Humanity was held at JW Marriott, Chandigarh, bringing together more than 500 educators, edupreneurs, edtech leaders, principals, teachers, and artists from across India. Organized by TRINITi and powered by Chitkara University, the summit reinforced its status as one of the nation’s most impactful platforms shaping the future of education.

Opening the event, Ankur Malhotra, Founder Director of TRINITi, emphasized the theme of balance. “Education stands at a turning point. With AI redefining learning, we must ensure its integration strengthens the human core of education. EDUTHON 5.0 has been about exploring this very balance,” he said.
The day-long summit featured panel discussions, fireside chats, masterclasses, performances, networking sessions, and a special book launch. The event was graced by Roshan Abbas, celebrated creative entrepreneur and storyteller, who served as Chief Guest. In a thought-provoking fireside chat with Malhotra, Abbas shared, “At the heart of education lies creativity and storytelling. These are what inspire curiosity, build empathy, and help technology truly serve humanity.”
Acclaimed actor and author Sandhya Mridul added perspectives on mental health in education, stressing the need to support students in overcoming stress, self-esteem issues, and emotional challenges.
Meanwhile, Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro Chancellor of Chitkara University, and Dr. Niyati Chitkara, Vice President of School Education at Chitkara Educational Trust, shared their vision for a dynamic education manifesto, highlighting how AI can transform learning while preserving essential human values.

EDUTHON 5.0, in collaboration with NISA, AIP, and F&PA, saw representation from institutions nationwide, amplifying its influence. International voices also joined the dialogue, including Abhilasha Singh from Abu Dhabi and Alipt Sanam Hari from Ghana, alongside Indian leaders like Dr. Anirudh Gupta, CEO of DCM Schools.
In a historic achievement, EDUTHON entered the India Book of Records (IBR) for hosting the “Largest Gathering of School Leaders for the Future of Education with AI.” Adding to the milestone, the summit also witnessed the launch of Gurdip Hari’s book, “The Sins of Education.”
With each edition, EDUTHON has grown in scale, depth, and impact—solidifying its role as a driving force for educational innovation in India and beyond.
