Meanwhile, organizers designed the Chandigarh Khelo Games 2026 specifically for emerging Under-19 athletes. Therefore, the grand event provides a powerful platform for young talents to showcase their raw athletic skills. “This event is not just a mere sports competition. Instead, it serves as a vital campaign to steer our youth away from severe social evils like drug abuse,” stated Jitender Pal Malhotra. The massive sports festival will feature 11 diverse sporting categories. Specifically, athletes will compete fiercely in football, basketball, kabaddi, rugby, netball, and volleyball. Moreover, the tournament includes judo, karate, and table tennis. Track and field athletes will also contest in 100-meter, 200-meter, and 400-meter races, alongside long jump and high jump events. Consequently, over 2,000 young players will participate in these thrilling matches. These exciting competitions will run continuously from May 25 until June 1 at Panjab University. Ultimately, the BJP Sports Cell aims to groom exceptional local athletes for professional careers. “Our ultimate goal is to prepare promising players who will bring national glory and eventually represent India at the Olympic Games,” Malhotra added. Overall, organizers expect the Chandigarh Khelo Games 2026 to become a historic milestone. Indeed, it will firmly instill deep discipline and fierce sportsmanship among the region’s youth.
