Over 200 Patients Benefited from Free Health Services Provided by Expert Doctors Across Various Specialties
Chandigarh, July 21:
A free multi-specialty health checkup camp was organized on Sunday at the Community Centre in Sector 42, under Ward No. 24, Chandigarh. The initiative was a joint effort by the MBG Healthcare Foundation and Omkar Charitable Foundation, held with the support of Chandigarh’s Senior Deputy Mayor and Ward Councillor Jasbir Singh Bunty.
This noble initiative was conducted in loving memory of Sardar Balkar Singh Bal on his death anniversary, led by renowned orthopedic specialist Dr. Gurvinder Singh Bal and the Bal family.
The health camp saw active participation from medical experts, members of the Residents Welfare Association (RWA), and local residents. Chairperson of Omkar Charitable Foundation Ravinder Singh Billa also attended the event.
Senior Deputy Mayor Jasbir Singh Bunty highlighted the key services offered at the camp:
- Bone and joint examination
- Eye checkups with free spectacles distribution
- General medicine and diabetes checkups
- Dental consultations
- Physiotherapy advice
- Free blood pressure, sugar, and blood tests
All services were provided completely free of cost, courtesy of MBG Pain Free Clinic, Chandigarh.

Chairman Ravinder Singh Billa praised MBG Healthcare Foundation for their commitment to public health and emphasized that such camps are especially helpful for senior citizens who cannot afford long hospital waits. He appreciated the presence of multiple expert doctors under one roof as a great service to the community.
The main objective of the camp was to provide medical support to individuals suffering from orthopedic and other health issues. Patients suffering from knee pain, hip joint issues, lower back pain, and cervical pain received free consultations, medications, and diagnostic services.
The orthopedic department was led by Dr. Gurvinder Singh Bal, a specialist in joint replacement and arthroscopic surgery. Under his expert supervision, every patient received individualized care and attention.
More than 200 patients underwent checkups for various ailments, making the camp a grand success.
Dr. Gurvinder Singh Bal expressed deep gratitude to his young volunteer team, whose dedicated efforts helped bring the event to life. He stated, “This health camp was the most meaningful tribute we could offer to honor the memory of the late Sardar Balkar Singh Bal, through the spirit of community service.”
