State spokesperson Naresh Arora urges responsible politics, stating that national interest must always transcend partisan agendas.
CHANDIGARH — The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has sharply criticized the Chandigarh Congress fuel protests over rising petrol and diesel prices. Naresh Arora, the BJP State Spokesperson for Chandigarh, termed these demonstrations entirely irresponsible. In an official press statement, he argued that the opposition’s rhetoric serves only to incite the public during a highly challenging period.

According to Arora, the international community is currently navigating a severe phase of geopolitical instability. This volatile global environment directly impacts international crude oil prices. Therefore, he emphasized that the opposition must play a constructive role in the national interest. Meanwhile, political parties should avoid inflaming public sentiments for short-term electoral gains.
Furthermore, the BJP spokesperson highlighted a major contradiction in the opposition’s current political stance. He noted that the Congress party frequently cited global factors to justify domestic price hikes when they held power. However, he observed that those same leaders are now deliberately misleading citizens on identical economic issues.
“The Congress party must understand that national interest transcends politics,” Arora asserted.
In addition, Arora strongly defended the current administration’s proactive economic management. He stated that the Central Government makes continuous, earnest efforts to provide direct relief to the public. For example, the government actively strengthens welfare schemes for marginalized communities. Consequently, India continues to hold a remarkably strong economic position relative to other major global economies.
Finally, the BJP spokesperson appealed directly to local citizens to remain vigilant against political manipulation. He urged the public not to be swayed by the opposition’s misleading narratives. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government remains robust and focused. Therefore, the administration works with unwavering commitment to secure economic stability across the nation under all circumstances.
