A major public outreach programme in Ward No. 5 saw widespread participation as local residents expressed strong faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s welfare policies.
CHANDIGARH — The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) expanded its local footprint significantly on Sunday as hundreds of families and young residents from Manimajra officially joined the party. The induction took place during a special public outreach event organised in Ward No. 5 under the leadership of Chaudhary Jaspal Singh Pali.
BJP Chandigarh Pradesh President Jatinder Pal Malhotra formally welcomed the new members into the party fold. He highlighted the Central Government’s key milestones and credited the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for transforming public welfare across the country.
“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has witnessed a new direction in development, good governance, and public welfare,” Malhotra said while addressing the gathering. “The benefits of various Central Government schemes are reaching the last person in society, and this growing public trust is encouraging people from different sections to join the BJP.”
Meanwhile, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya District President Bhupinder Saini briefed the gathering on several flagship national schemes. He emphasised that people from diverse backgrounds continue to connect with the party because they see tangible benefits on the ground. Therefore, grassroots support for the party’s development agenda is growing rapidly across the Union Territory.
In addition, the newly inducted youth and families stated that they joined the BJP to actively support the nation’s ongoing development journey. They also pledged to work diligently to reinforce the party’s grassroots presence in their respective neighbourhoods.
Several prominent party functionaries attended the gathering. These included BJP OBC Morcha State President Satpal Verma, District General Secretaries Rajesh Singla and Ram Shukla, Ward No. 5 Mandal President Khushpal, and Mandal General Secretary Tarsem Lal Atri.
Consequently, party leaders noted that the BJP’s base is steadily expanding across Chandigarh. They stated that regular outreach initiatives and strong ground-level volunteer participation will continue to drive this momentum in the coming months.
