Specialist doctors provided free clinical consultations and diagnostic screenings at Bharti Bhawan to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.
CHANDIGARH — Around 200 residents from Sectors 20 and 30 availed themselves of comprehensive medical services during a free health check-up camp organized at Bharti Bhawan, Sector 30, on Sunday. The community initiative formed part of the nationwide ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ undertaken by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to commemorate the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Chandigarh BJP State President Jatinder Pal Malhotra attended the event as Chief Guest, while senior party leader Sanjay Tandon joined as a guest of honour to encourage the volunteers. Meanwhile, BJP State Spokesperson Naresh Arora spearheaded the organisation of the camp alongside Mandal President Ravi Rawat, District Secretary Meenakshi Singh, and the dedicated team of Mandal No. 18.
Medical teams provided specialized consultations across multiple disciplines, including general medicine, orthopaedics, urology, cardiology, and pulmonology. In addition, attending visitors received complimentary access to essential diagnostic procedures such as electrocardiograms (ECG), pulmonary function tests (PFT), uroflowmetry, bone mineral density (BMD) assessments, random blood sugar (RBS) checks, and blood pressure monitoring.
“Through the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, our endeavour is to take the spirit of service and health awareness to every section of society,” Naresh Arora said while addressing participants. “Healthy citizens are the foundation of a strong society and a developed India.”
Furthermore, attending doctors offered personalized diet guidance and emphasized early detection for chronic lifestyle ailments. Therefore, residents welcomed the doorstep delivery of specialized healthcare services without financial burden.
Local community members expressed strong appreciation for the camp, noting that having diverse clinical specialists and modern diagnostic tools under one roof made health evaluations accessible and efficient. The organizers confirmed that similar healthcare initiatives will continue across different sectors of Chandigarh under the outreach drive.
