Chandigarh: HaryanaEnergy, Transport and Labor Minister, Sh. Anil Vij has taken serious cognizance of the closure of the all-visitor swimming pool at the War Heroes Memorial Stadium in Ambala Cantonment and has spoken to the Sports Minister about the matter.

Today, children who use swimming pools met with Energy Minister Anil Vij and complained of being close to the pool. In response, Minister Vij immediately spoke with state sports minister Gaurav Gautam.

Talking to the media persons on the matter, Anil Vij said that some children came and said that the International-Manak All-Vaeer Swimming Pool is not current in the war Heroes Memorial Stadium. Sh. Vij said that he spoke to the state’s sports minister Gaurav Gautam over the phone and told him that it was unacceptable. He asked the minister to pay attention to the issue and take action against the District Sports Officer (DSO) for long closure and the absence of an tender for its operation. Sh. Vij further said that since it is not possible to process an tender in a short time, he requested the Sports Minister to operate the swimming pool directly.

On the phone, Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam assured Energy Minister Anil Vij and said that “Vij sir, please inform the children that the swimming pool will be reopened this evening and the government will run it directly.”

All-Vather Swimming Pool built through Minister Anil Vij’s efforts

It is worth noting that the International-Manak All-Veer Swimming Pool was constructed at the War Heroes Memorial Stadium in Ambala Cantonment due to the efforts of Energy Minister Anil Vij. This swimming pool is equipped with modern features and can also be used in winter. A warm-up pool is also built. Pool has hosted sports India and other national level competitions.
