During the meeting, Agnihotri pressed for the declaration of the Nangal-Jaijon road as a National Highway, citing its strategic importance for the upcoming bulk drug park in Una. “A Detailed Project Report (DPR) worth ₹429 crore has already been prepared and will be submitted under the Gati Shakti scheme,” he said.

Hisar YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra Seeks Regular Bail in Espionage Case; Court Awaits Police Reply by June 11

Jyoti Malhotra, a Hisar-based YouTuber arrested last month on charges of espionage, has filed a plea for regular bail. Her counsel, advocate Kumar Mukesh, submitted the application before Judicial Magistrate (First Class) Sunil Kumar on Tuesday.

The court has sought a reply from the police by June 11 before proceeding further with the bail plea.

Malhotra, 33, who runs the YouTube channel Travel with JO, was arrested by Hisar Police on May 16 under the Official Secrets Act and relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. She was initially remanded in five-day police custody, which was later extended by another four days. On May 26, she was sent to 14-day judicial custody.

Appearing via video conferencing, Malhotra’s judicial custody was extended again on June 9, and the court scheduled the next hearing for June 23.

According to police sources, while there is no evidence so far indicating that Malhotra had access to military or classified defence information, she was allegedly in contact with Pakistani Intelligence Operatives (PIOs). Investigators claim she had been in touch with Ehsan-ur-Rahim, alias Danish — a former staffer at the Pakistani High Commission — since November 2023. Danish was expelled by India on May 13 for alleged involvement in espionage activities.

Police allege that Pakistani intelligence agencies were attempting to develop Malhotra as an asset, though her legal team has denied the charges.

He highlighted that the initiative replaces “discretion with discipline, delay with digital, and confusion with clarity,” marking a shift from bureaucratic red tape to a responsive and efficient governance model.

The portal is designed to cater to a wide range of investors — from startups to multinational corporations. Mann said the system is now “proactive, precise, and professional,” and welcomes all investors with “incentives, integrity, and intention.”

Rupnagar YouTuber Jasbir Singh Sent to Judicial Custody in ISI Espionage Case

A Mohali court on Monday sent Rupnagar-based YouTuber Jasbir Singh to judicial custody in connection with an espionage case linked to Pakistan’s intelligence agency, ISI. The decision came after the police informed the court that their investigation had concluded and further custody was not required

Jasbir, 41, who runs the popular YouTube channel JaanMahal Video with over 11 lakh subscribers, was arrested on June 4. Initially placed under four-day police remand, his custody was later extended by two more days before being shifted to judicial custody.

Defence counsel Mohit Dhupar confirmed that Jasbir would be produced in court again on June 23. “We’re not disclosing the timing for security reasons, but we will be moving for bail soon,” Dhupar said.

Police allege that Jasbir was recruited by ISI after attending Pakistan’s National Day function in Delhi, where he met with Pakistani army officers and vloggers on the invitation of Danish — an expelled official from the Pakistan High Commission. Authorities claim Jasbir made three visits to Pakistan in 2020, 2021, and 2024, where he reportedly established direct contact with ISI operatives.

Investigators are also probing the role of a 32-year-old woman who allegedly accompanied Jasbir to the Pakistan embassy in Delhi without official clearance and later travelled with him to Pakistan. The defence has dismissed these claims as unfounded.

Jasbir is further suspected to have links with Haryana-based YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, already in custody on spying charges, and with Ehsan-ur-Rahim, also known as Danish.

Balkaur Singh, father of slain Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, has moved a Mansa court seeking a stay on the screening of a documentary scheduled to be aired on June 11 — Moosewala’s birth anniversary. The Civil Judge (Senior Division) has adjourned the matter for consideration on June 12.

The documentary, titled Investigative Documentary on Sidhu Moosewala, is reportedly set to be broadcast by a foreign media outlet in Mumbai. Singh alleges that the film contains unauthorised, sensitive, and unpublished content, including personal testimonies and commentary related to an ongoing criminal case concerning his son’s murder.

Speaking on behalf of the family, advocate Satinder Pal Singh Mittal said, “The matter is now sub-judice, and we hope the broadcaster will withhold the screening until the court issues a decision.”

Sources close to the family confirmed that Balkaur Singh completed the necessary legal steps on Monday and formally requested urgent court intervention to stop the airing. In addition to the petition, Singh has sent a legal notice to the broadcaster, filed a complaint with Maharashtra Police, and issued a follow-up reminder to prevent the screening.

He has argued that releasing the documentary could incite public unrest, interfere with the ongoing investigation, and violate the family’s rights to privacy and the posthumous dignity of Moosewala.

The broadcaster’s legal team has requested 10 days to respond to the notice.

Meanwhile, the family is preparing to release an extended play (EP) of Moosewala’s songs on Wednesday to mark his birth anniversary. Moosewala was tragically killed on May 29, 2022, in Jawaharke village near Mansa.
