Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Sha-Naib Singh Saini said that the media has played an important role in nation-building from the time of independence to the present time. Appreciating the dedication of media individuals, who makes their writing the basis on national interest, they said that the freedom of the media is a pillar of a strong democracy and the Prime Minister Sh shows the positive vision of Narendra Modi.
The Chief Minister was speaking as the chief guest at the annual conference of working journalists of Haryana Union held in Rohtak on Friday.
On the occasion of Hindi Patarkaraita Diwas (Hindi Journalism Day), he greeted and wished all the media persons and saluted the “Kalam Ke Sentinel”. Haryana Education Minister Shahipal Dhanda, former Minister Shaish Grover, and Baba Kapilpuri Ji Maharaj were present as special guests. The Chief Minister inaugurated the conference by formally illuminating the formal lamp.
Naib Singh Saini, who is performing duties to media persons to be a descendant of Maharishi Narad Muni, said that this day also holds spiritual significance as a time to pay homage to the martyrdom of the fifth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Arjan Dev Ji. He also paid tribute to Arut Ji Maharaj on his birth anniversary. He expressed confidence that the vision of Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi’s ‘Vikati Bharat’ (developed India) is becoming a reality, in which the nation is constantly moving towards global leadership.
Highlighting the role of media individuals in the country’s freedom movement, Chief Minister Sha Naib Singh Saini said that media persons have always played an important role in shaping the society and continued to guide it with their practical contribution. He emphasized that, with his continuous support, the nation is constantly moving forward.
Accepting the media as the fourth pillar of democracy, he said that the Haryana government is committed to protect the interests of the media and is taking effective steps in this direction.
Naib Singh Saini said that the media plays an important role in ensuring that government welfare schemes reach the common people. He not only praised the media’s active participation in raising awareness within the society for helping the beneficiaries reach these schemes, but also to help these schemes reach these schemes.
Encouraging the media fraternity to maintain moral journalism, he urged them to highlight the efficient functioning of the government. He assured that the government is promoting a media -friendly environment, where media people can fearlessly use their freedom in the interest of society.
The Chief Minister announced a grant of rupee. 21 lakhs at the annual conference of working journalists of Haryana Union. He also assured the Sangh that his demands would be considered sympathetically.
