Eminent Punjabi singer, lyricist, and actor Gurdas Maan is inconsolable at the death of his younger brother Gurpanath Maan. Mr. Gurpanath Maan passed away today at a private hospital in Mohali after a brief illness. He was 68 years old.
Late Gurpanath Maan was renowned as a reputable commission agent in Gidderbaha town and an active representative of the farming community. He was undergoing treatment at a multi-specialty hospital in Mohali for about two months. According to Advocate Gurmeet Maan, a cousin of the late Gurpanath, his health condition had recently improved, and he was discharged from the hospital. However, today he died due to deterioration in his health again.
He is survived by his wife, a son, and a daughter. Both children are residing abroad. Gurpanath Maan was the middle brother of Gurdas Maan and his sister.
His last rites will be performed in Chandigarh tomorrow.
