Kurukshetra: Vice Chancellor of Kurukshetra University, Prof. Som Nath Sachdeva, and Registrar Dr. Virendra Pal, Felised Anushka Sharma, a student of class 12 of Senior Secondary Model School of Kurukshetra University for his outstanding achievement at the Asian Boxing Championship. Anushka won a silver medal in the 81 kg weight category at the championship held in Colombo, Sri Lanka from May 10 to May 24 organized by the Asian Boxing Confederation (ASBC).
During a special ceremony held at the Vice Chancellor’s office on Monday, Prof. Sachdev congratulated Anushka for her remarkable performance and extended her blessings. Prof. Sachdeva emphasized the importance of encouraging girls to move forward and to realize their full potential. Prof. Sachdeva praised Anushka for proud of his family, his school and university through his dedication and hard work.
Registrar Dr. Virendra Pal also congratulated Anushka and assured continuous support from the school administration to help in furthering more and more achievements in the future. In this program, the principal of the school, Dr. Sukhwinder Singh and Anushka’s father were also involved.
