Chandigarh Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya said on Monday, recalling two prestigious heroes of Indian history, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur and Lord Birsa Munda on their martyrdom day, protesting and his unmatched contribution in the struggle against justice.
In his message, Governor Shri Dattatraya said, “Today, we respect Baba Banda Singh Bahadur’s unique courage and sacrifice, who laid the foundation of justice and self-rules in Punjab and stood longer against the atrocities of the Mughals.
Shri Dattakatre also recalled the legendary tribal freedom fighter Bhagwan Birsa Munda, who opposed the British colonial rule and became a symbol of empowerment for the tribal communities of India. He said, “The fearless resistance of Lord Birsa Munda and his dream of a justified and justified society shows the spirit of India’s tribal pride and cultural heritage,” he said.
The Governor stressed that the life of these two great sons of India serves as a guide light in our collective journey towards justice, equality and national unity. He urged the youth of the country to take inspiration from their lives and contribute to the creation of a strong, inclusive and self -sufficient India.
Shri Dattatraya asked the citizens to honor the memory of such heroes that they maintain those values - by maintaining a sense of bravery, sacrifice, social justice and freedom.
