Woman’s car firm, dealership for not transferring the ownership of the old car; Vehicle seeks court custody

A woman has filed a civil suit against Maruti Suzuki and one of her dealerships in Chandigarh, refusing to transfer the ownership of her old car and a third person was allowed to control the vehicle without noteing in the name of the new owner.

This suit is filed by Kulpreet Kaur Maruti Suzuki India Limited and Autopes Network Private Limited (Car Dealership) in District Court ChandigarhMeanwhile, Registration and License Authority (RLA), Chandigarh and Principal Secretary (Transport), Himachal Pradesh have also been made responsible in the case.

Through his lawyer, Advocate Ajay Pal Singh, Kaur said that he bought a brand-new car from Autopes Network-a Maruti Suzuki Frocks – And before the purchase, Maruti Suzuki and the dealership promised him that when he selected to return his earlier car, he would be given suitable compensation, Hyundai I10, while purchasing a new vehicle from the showroom. The applicant said that the dealership assured him that he would be paid a beautiful amount as “appropriate adjustment” in the total value of the new car, in case of handing over the key of his old vehicle.

Kaur said that she exchanged her old car at the dealership, for which the company and the dealership gave a decent encouragement by adjusting the value of the car used by the total value of the car, which she was buying.

He said that he had bought a car in September 2023.

However, the applicant’s counsel argued that she was running to find out what was promised to post from the pillar, her old car was transferred to the new buyer’s name.

However, he discovered that the car used has not been moved yet, and is lying to an unknown place, but on paper on his name.

Kaur said that despite his repeated requests, Bhalla has not assured that the vehicle will be transferred to him in the name of the new buyer.

According to Advocate Singh, the vehicle in the name of Kaur on the road is not under his control.

Kaur said that she has written to Maruti Nexa, Transport Authority of Chandigarh, and RTO The office states that he has left his car owned for all purposes, and it is still running on paper on paper, then appropriate steps should be taken to ensure that the car is separated from his name.

The applicant said that he strongly fears that his car could be used for illegal purposes. He also fears that in the case of an accident, the responsibility of the car should not fall on him.

Kaur has demanded that until the car is registered in the name of the current owner, it should be taken into custody by the court and not allowed to walk on the streets.

Hearing Kaur’s petition, the Chandigarh court has issued a notice in the case. The matter will now come for hearing on July 24.
