Naresh Arora alleged that the Congress protest during the international AI exhibition in Delhi harmed India’s global image.
Chandigarh: Naresh Arora, a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, on Sunday criticized the Congress party over a protest staged by its youth wing during an international AI exhibition held in Delhi. The exhibition was attended by several foreign delegates to observe India’s technological advancements.
In a statement, Arora said the international AI exhibition reflected India’s growing global stature in technology and innovation. He described the protest by the Congress youth wing as inappropriate and said it could harm the country’s image at a time when foreign representatives were present.
Referring to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Arora alleged that the party had previously made statements abroad that were critical of India, and claimed that the protest during the exhibition reflected a similar approach domestically. He termed it an example of what he called “double standards” in politics.
Arora also mentioned that under the leadership of Narendra Modi, India has made rapid progress in technology, innovation, and digital development. He stated that such protests during events attended by international guests were unfortunate and not in line with national dignity.
The BJP leader said matters related to national pride should be handled with responsibility rather than political confrontation. He added that the Congress should issue a public apology over the incident.
